Mystery Film

Nightmare Beach

(Umberto Lenzi, Italy/USA 1988, 90 minutes)

It wouldn’t be right not to have some Italian horror at an Abertoir & Fractured Visions team up! Here we present this slasher from Umberto Lenzi (or is it?), which involves biker gangs, electric chairs, spring break, John Saxon and a Claudio Simonetti score!

The Cleaning Lady

(Jon Knautz, USA 2018, 90 minutes)

A smart script and sensitive performances makes The Cleaning Lady an effectively nasty thriller about the relationship between a seemingly perfect, but deeply troubled, beauty therapist and the disfigured and abused janitor she befriends.

Await Further Instructions

(Johnny Kevorkian, UK 2018, 91 minutes)

Christmas with the in-laws is awkward enough, but in Await Further Instructions, it’s about to get apocalyptic in the claustrophobic techno-horror.

(Panos Cosmatos, Canada/USA 2018, 121 minutes)

Nicholas Cage and Andrea Riseborough star in the eagerly anticipated horror-fantasy-action trip Mandy from Panos Cosmatos, director of cult film Beyond the Black Rainbow.
