Abertoir is pleased to partner with Cardiff Mini Film Festival to present a ‘Best of’ selection of short films this June 23rd. Screening as part of their Twisted Tales Night, we’ve hand-picked some of the best short British horror to have screened at Abertoir over the past few years, including two Méliès d’Argent winners.
The films screening are Katie Bonham’s Mab, last year’s winner of the Méliès d’Argent; Mat Johns’ A Father’s Day; Neville Pierce’s Bricks, which won the Méliès d’Argent in 2016; Prano Bailey-Bond’s Nasty and Chris Chalklen’s Holy F__K. The films will screen in the basement of Cardiff’s Capitol Shopping arcade, and they’re followed by a special anniversary screening of Night of the Living Dead as part of the BFI’s Spirit of ’68 season.
The Cardiff Mini Film Festival weekend is jam packed with other amazing events (including a screening of Abertoir 2017 hit Canaries!) and some very exciting short films – horror or otherwise. The festival takes place over the weekend of 22nd -24th June 2018, and tickets are on sale now!
