Travel

The festival takes place at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, on Aberystwyth University’s Penglais Campus. On the beautiful coast of Mid-Wales, Aberystwyth is easily accessible by train, bus and car, and once you’re here the venue is easily accessible by foot or by public transport, whether you’re staying in town, on campus, or just out of town.

Aberystwyth bus and train stations, and the taxi rank, are all adjacent to each other in the centre of town. On this page you’ll find the essential travel information to find us, and you can also see more travel information and maps on the Aberystwyth University website.

Where possible, we encourage you to come to us via public transport, or to share private transport with friends!

We encourage you attend Abertoir via public transport, if you can! Although relatively far-flung Aberystwyth is well serviced by public transport services.

Travel in Aberystwyth

If you’re staying in the town, the Arts Centre is situated around a 20-30 minute walk up ‘Penglais Hill’.

There are regular bus services running from the town to stops on the university campus. We recommend downloading the Traveline Cymru app, if you’re staying in the town centre, in order to find bus services up to the campus (though please note there will still be some walking involved).

There are also usually plentiful cheap taxis available from the town. If you’re able to share transport, either public or your own, with other festival-goers once you’re here, we strongly encourage it and will do our best to connect you!
