City of the Living Dead
In the sleepy village of Dunwich, the dead are rising, local girls are vomiting entrails and the town misfit is about to get his brains drilled out. Lucio Fulci’s classic gore-fest is a superb example of Italian horror at its very best.
Last year’s guest Catriona MacColl makes an appearance as a psychic buried alive, while a mysterious hanged priest seems to be behind the series of horrific misfortunes befalling the town.
Abertoir’s guest of honour this year, Fabio Frizzi, provides the tremendously memorable score to one of Fulci’s most famous films.
